“One time me and my cousin were in my fathers village in Italy. It was just sunset and it had gone from being a very hot day to a very cold evening, which was usual, as the village is in the mountains and quite rural. We had been playing all day and ran around the corner of my grand parents house to the bottom of a concrete, very old, raggedy stairway. As we ran towards the stairway we saw a black shadow. At first we thought it was somebody about to come down the steps but as we got closer the shadow got bigger and darker and felt almost sinister.

This may have just been childish emotions, but the shadow was very real and very very scary. We both came to an abrupt halt, looked at each other, both of as pale as sheep and ran back in the opposite direction a lot faster than we ran towards those steps. To this day we refuse to go near them in fear of seeing the tall black shadow. This shadow was at least 7 foot tall and very wide. We had both looked to the top of the steps and there was nobody or nothing anywhere near them! Scariest day of my life!”
